On the new season’s script, Álex Pina, its creator, was quoted by Variety as saying: “When we began to write Part 5 in the midst of the pandemic, we felt that we had to change what was expected from the ten-episode season

“…and used every tool we could to create the sensation of a season finale or series finale in the first volume itself. We decided to work in an extremely aggressive genre, putting The Gang on the ropes.

“In volume 2, we focus more on the emotional situation of the characters. It is a journey across their sentimental map that connects us directly to their departure.

Ever since ‘Money Heist’ debuted, the series has received several awards including the ‘Best Drama Series’ at the 46th International Emmy Awards.

Why Buhari Didn't Attend Burial Of Army Chief, Others– Presidential Aide

Why Buhari Didn't Attend Burial Of Army Chief, Others– Presidential Aide

EtalityBLOGMay 23, 2021

The Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie, has adduced reason for the refusal of the president to attend the Saturday's burial of late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, and other military officers who died in a plane crash in Kaduna on Friday.

Platinum Post reports that there have been mounting criticisms and condemnations of the President's decision to shun the burial, which took place at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja.

But in a post on her verified Twitter handle on Sunday, Onochie said for a President to at any funeral or event outside the Villa, the event must have at least 48 hours interval.

The Presidential aide, however, said she was not aware of such rule before it was shared by one Muhammed Yusuf.

" For a President to be at any funeral or event outside the Presidential Villa, the event must have at least 48 hours for intelligence operatives to do surveillance and clearance before the President can go based on the Security report.

" In a case where the COAS and his team died yesterday and had to be buried today, you don't expect the President to go there where there is no security clearance.

" The minimum time of 48 hours wasn't met. In insecurity parlance, funeral ceremonies are where politically exposed persons face more risks.

" Security issues and securing the President are not done by emotions or sentiments. There're laid down procedures that must be followed. Be enlightened.

Boko Haram insurgents from neighboring Yobe State have infiltrated four local government areas of Bauchi State, destroying some facilities.

The Secretary to the Bauchi State Government (SSG), Alhaji Sabiu Baba, disclosed this at a press conference on Monday.

Bandits: We killed students of Kaduna private varsity to show govt has failed

Wonder, controversy as 20-year-old corpses reburied in Jos

He listed Zaki, Gamawa, Darazo and Dambam as some of the affected Local Government Areas.

The insurgents reportedly vandalised telecommunication masts in Gamawa.

Baba said security operatives arrested five persons in connection with the vandalism of the telecommunication mast in Gamawa, adding that already the state government has beefed up security around the neighboring communities.

He said the state government has identified some security threats associated with influx of people into the state from Yobe where Boko Haram has been wreaking havoc.

Baba said Governor Bala Mohammed has provided the needed support to security operatives to intensify patrol and surveillance, especially border communities with Yobe.

On the issue of the displaced persons, Baba assured that the state government will work with the affected communities to identify internally displaced persons so as to provide them with urgent support to alleviate their sufferings.

In his remark at the briefing, Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Sylvester Abiodun Alabi, assured that the police will partner with sister security agencies to ensure security of lives and property.

He equally appeal to residents to give relevant information to security agents on activities of criminals and avoid giving cover to evil-minded people.

Mbaka: Why I Introduced Foreign Contractors To Buhari’s Government

Mbaka: Why I Introduced Foreign Contractors To Buhari’s Govt

By

EtalityBLOG

The Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry (AMEN), Ejike Mbaka, has opened up on the contractors he took to the presidency.

After Mbaka came down hard on the government of President Muhammadu Buhari last week, Malam Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to The President on Media and Publicity, accused the priest of being angry with the president because he did not get the contracts he asked for.

In his sermon on Sunday, Mbaka admitted taking contractors to the presidency but said he did so as a means to seek lasting solution to insecurity.

He said he had no relationship with the contractors whom he described as “white people”, adding that he learnt that their request to work for the government was declined.

“When they talked about giving Father Mbaka contracts, I don’t want to talk about that, I was laughing. It is a laughable, childish accusation.”

“Whoever is saying that is a shame to himself and shame to the people he is representing. Father Mbaka’s voice came from the spiritual, so what I am saying is unchallengeable. Why I have been silent, I was waiting for them to change, until God said, ‘speak’. There are some messages that are like dew, some like rain, but some of them are like thunder. Anybody who is challenging that message is challenging the God of thunder and should be careful.

‘I pay salaries of 23,000 people’

“The Father Mbaka who was speaking is not just a priest but, by the special grace of God, is a job provider. To the glory of God, those that are benefitting from me, direct salary earners, are not less than 23,000 people.

“The person challenging Father Mbaka, how many people are you feeding? If I talk, you talk? Because the government is paying you — do you know how many people I am paying? Before you challenge me when I talk about unemployment, I am an employer. So, somebody talking about giving Father Mbaka contracts, I started laughing. The three men he talked about, I am not here to defend anybody’s stupid allegation but God used that man to tell the world that Buhari’s government is not giving me money. You see how God works? Shehu, may God bless you for telling everybody that you are not giving me contracts.

“And these are the three men that we brought that will handle insecurity for the country; they had the gadgets. The white people, they had the facilities. That was during the first administration. And they said they will help them in conquering insecurity. They had the platform to end insecurity in this country under one month; under Abba Kyari. I just handed them over to the government people. They denied them of these; I don’t even know these people. They just came to Enugu and said, can I help them reach the government, that the level of insecurity in this country and how Nigeria has been shipping their oil out, refining and bringing them back, that we are losing. That they have all it takes to revive the oil apparatus in the country and get the whole youths employed and the issue of insecurity will die. These are the three people that they rejected their offer.

And even the people they are talking about that went there, I didn’t even discuss one percent of ‘if you get this contract’; contract of securing the country? What am I going to gain from it? As if to say when he pushes that, Fr Mbaka is no longer a Nigerian. And all the people they have been giving contracts, are they better than me?”

Wonder, controversy as 20-year-Old corpses Reburied in Jos

Wonder, controversy as 20-year-Old corpses Reburied in Jos.

The reburial of some 53 corpses from a graveyard in Bukuru where they have been buried after the first Jos crisis in 2001 has generated debate and amazement over the state of one of the corpses.

Twenty years ago, Jos, the Plateau State capital, was rocked by the first of many violent clashes between Muslims and Christians that left hundreds dead.

In the aftermath of the first wave of killings in Bukuru Metropolis, capital of Jos South Local Government, there were concerns over what to do with the Muslim dead, as it was no longer safe to access the Muslim cemetery along Gero Road.

So 52 victims of the violence were buried in a mass grave on a piece of land at the Old Native Authority School, opposite First Bank, within Bukuru town. Four days later, one more corpse was added to bring the number to 53.

But that would not be their final resting place as 20 years later, the Jamaatul Izalatul Bidi’a wa Ikamatus Sunnah, (JIBWIS) who own the land decided to have the corpses removed to build a shopping plaza there.

So on April 18, 2021, the 53 corpses buried there were exhumed and reburied.

What stunned those who exhumed the corpses was the state in which one of the dead, the late Suleiman Muhammed (sarkin Bukur) was discovered.

Unlike the others, he was not killed during the violence but succumbed to an illness and was buried only four days after the others had been interred in a mass grave.

Alhassan Abdullahi led the gravediggers on that day in April and said he had never experienced anything like that.

“First, I dug out all those buried in the same grave,” he said. “Already, their bodies had decayed and broken down. I put all the remaining bones in a sack and took the remains to the Dadin Kowa Cemetery and reburied it there.”

That seemed routine until he approached the grave of the late Sarki Suleiman when he experienced an unusual sensation.

“When I started, I was the only one who felt what was happening. I kept quiet and refused to disclose anything to those present.

“By the time I dug the first part of the grave, I felt something strange in me,” he said.

He recalled being surprised by how clean and pristine the white shroud of the deceased looked as he unearthed it.

“I couldn’t believe it. I went further down to the leg. It was the same story – it was a different experience. I was surprised to see even the white cloth used to cover him was still intact and clean,” Alhassan said. “The corpse was still heavy and flexible.”

For the custodian of the Dadin Kowa Cemetry, this was unusual for a person buried 20 years before to be found in such fine condition.

“He was a human being like us but with different qualities. I believe he is a man of impeccable qualities. The condition I met him in has indicated that he was a good man and blessed by Allah,” he said.

A member of the deceased’s family, Alh. Aliyu Suleiman Muhammed was first appalled by the request from JIBWIS to relocate the corpse of their late patron and the others.

“At first, we were not happy with the development because it was a sudden notice which took us by surprise,” the Magajin Bukur said.

“There was nothing we could do rather than to exhume our father because it was not our land. As community leaders, we have to lead by example. We don’t want to have trouble with any member of the society as our late father always taught us,” he said.

Their unhappiness over the exhumation changed the moment they saw the condition of their father’s corpse, as it became a lesson to them and the public on living a virtuous life.

They believed the condition of his corpse is not unconnected to the behaviour and character of their late father.

“Being the sarki, he was modest. He didn’t place himself above his subjects. He would often greet you before you greeted him and shook hands with everybody irrespective of your status,” he said.

“He was a leader who often walked and gave a fair hearing to disputing parties. He was a patient and easy-going person,” he said.

He however insisted that exhuming the other 52 was a painful experience for the entire community.

“It is really painful because they were killed during a crisis that affected everyone. If we were given time, the money for the land possibly would have been raised by good Nigerians to allow the bodies to remain where they were,” he said.

Not everyone has taken the exhumation in good faith as the family of late Suleiman. Many residents see the move as improper and disrespectful to the deceased.

The family of one of the deceased, Malam Hassan Maisaje, even petitioned the State Commissioner of Police over the exhumations.

In a petition dated April 26, 2021, the family of the late Maisaje, described the action as illegal and called on the commissioner to investigate the matter and prosecute the perpetrators.

The petition accused one Malam Khalid Usman, Malam Haruna Muhammed, Malam Auwal Aliyu Muhammed, Idris Umar, and Ibrahim Alhassan of exhuming the corpse of their father secretly without informing them.

Sadis Hassan, who signed the petition on behalf of the Maisaje family, told Daily Trust that his family was not consulted before their father was dug up and reburied.

“When my father was killed during the crisis, it was agreed that those killed should be buried in the said land because it was believed that the land belongs to the Muslims,” he said. “But to our surprise, we heard that the corpses, including our father’s, were exhumed and taken to an unknown destination. We should have been informed of any decision before any action is taken. What happened was very painful,” he said.

One of those mentioned in the petition, Khalid Usman Khalid, had earlier led a delegation to the Wazirin Bukur to announce their intentions to reclaim the land to construct a shopping complex.

When contacted for comments, he said he was not in a position to talk on the issue and referred our correspondent to the Bukuru JIBWIS chairman.

When our correspondent called the Chairman, Idris Umar Idris, on the development, he did not take his calls or responded to text messages sent to him.

Wale Oke: I’m praying God should remove Buhari

Wale Oke: I’m praying God should remove Buhari

MAY 2, 2021

Wale Oke, the national president of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), says he is praying God should remove President Muhammadu Buhari for Nigeria to experience peace.

Oke, who is the presiding bishop of The Sword of the Spirit Ministries, Ibadan, Oyo state, said Nigeria has become “war-ravaged”.

A statement by Kayode Oladeji, Oke’s media aide, said the PFN president spoke at a vigil organised by his church on Friday.

The cleric lamented the daily killings in the country, saying that the Buhari-led administration has failed Nigerians.

“Sadly today, everywhere in Nigeria is a theatre of war with many killings and bloodshed going on in the country every day,” Oke was quoted to have said.

“The President should be removed if that would pave the way for the desired peace in the country. In the 1960s when Nigeria fought a civil war, the eastern part of the nation was the theatre of war.

“Some wicked people kidnapped some students and demanded N800m for their release; they killed them. The government did not lift a finger and you are telling me that the President has not failed. Buhari has failed. For the first time, I have found myself praying that God should remove Buhari.

They kidnapped students without the government doing anything and you are telling me that the government has not failed. Are you saying we cannot move against an incompetent government whose security apparatus has collapsed?”

The cleric said he is not afraid of expressing his views, adding that now is the time for Nigerians to show concern for what is happening across the country.

Oke accused the federal government of not dealing with killer herdsmen but could attack Samuel Ortom, governor of Benue, when he spoke against the president.

“It is a shame that government could not protect those in Internally Displaced Person camps which led to the massacre of a number of them in Benue State. The Presidency is now attacking Governor Ortom who was weeping over his people that were slaughtered,” he said.

“Now is the time for all Nigerians to show concern. We invoke the judgment of God on these people. Oh arrow of the Lord, we release against them. The sword of the Lord cut them off.

“Give us peace by all means even if it means removing an incompetent and a failed President. Oh God, do it quickly and give us peace by all means. Give us a quick change at the top level of government of Nigeria.”
